Love to Learn!
One of my favorite things to share with my students are the many ways there are to tell a story. During your child's time with the ELL program they will gain experience in how to become a storyteller. The pictures below will show some of the hands-on activities, games, and visuals we use as we focus on our grade level targets. Below are some ways you may encourage your child to share a story with you at home. Ask your child to share a story from one of the pictures that follow.
- speak a story with our voices from our memory or our imagination
- read a story from a book to another
- sing the words to a story
- use hand signs to show a story or a song
- draw a picture to explain a story
- use a puzzle, stacking cards or sequence cards
- act it out or take on a role
- build a model
